Housing

Students in the TCNJ Spain program will be housed primarily in homestays – the main type of housing for students in language immersion programs abroad.  Families hosting students have been screened carefully by the staff at the Instituto Franklin and have had experience hosting North American students in the past.

Each student will receive three meals a day and laundry service once a week.

The housing questionnaire from the Instituto Franklin is quite extensive, which means that no stone is left unturned in the placement of students with appropriate families.  That said, homestays are often tricky…it’s good to have a strategy to make the most out of the homestay experience.  We suggest that students take a look at this article from GoOverseas.com for hints on how to make a homestay a great time in one’s life.

There is an option for dormitory accommodations in the program as well, but we strongly suggest that students follow the path to an enriching homestay during their time in Spain.
